200+ Shows!
Our show on 23rd November 2010 was our 200th show on the Premier League – we’ve done a few more if you add in the the 2006 and 2010 World Cups and the 2008 Euro Championships.
Not bad for a couple of amateurs!
We started in November 2005, and whilst there has been a break or two, we’ve been fairly consistent for five years now.
Originally, we started as a preview and review show, two every week but we settled down to a show a week and now on a Tuesday. In the early days, it was hard going. ADSL connections which were often patchy at best, relying on our Skype connection for quality. It wasn’t unheard of back then to find that the timelag was so bad we’d have to record again.
Interestingly, we’ve never recorded a show with both of us in the same room!
Of course, we’ve had some help along the way, Brian Koski helping us out in the good old days and more recently Andrew Caple and Mark Rigby.
And why do we do it? Because at heart we just both love talking about this great game!
Here’s a little blast from the past. Shows 1 to 3 seem to have gone missing but here’s show 4 from 3rd November 2005 and we start off talking about the strike partnership of Alan Shearer and Michael Owen. Ah, them were the days…
