Well, there’s really only the one big story of the week of course involving a certain red-coloured football club and a certain red-coloured Beach Ball. The big question for this coming weekend is… can the Reds bounce back! Find out what what we think on this and more in Show 10.

Good show this week!
Mark, you did a good job of hiding the gloating at Liverpool’s desperation. You guys are right that the problem at Liverpool is the owners to a point, but the problem is system since the 90s and the lack of funds is clearly in large part due to Liverpool falling behind global marketing (look at United, Chelsea, Arsenal, ‘s presence in Asia, Africa, etc.). And this isn’t a dip in form for this season, Liverpool’s form has been poor all season like Chris notes.
Set piece defending has been shocking (Chelsea in particular since they’re losing to lower teams), but I think it is more about set piece attacks are getting more and more training pitch time. Middling and lower teams are seeing the promoted teams play gritty and get points using set pieces (see Stoke), and more teams are employing them I think, especially against the bigger teams when they can’t get enough possession to attack well from open play.
Valencia’s chance in Moscow that hit off the crossbar would’ve been a CRACKING winning away goal, the buildup was magnificent. But I’ll take a United winner anyway I can…
Nani needs to step up still, again I reiterate I think this’ll be his last season if he doesn’t start to show that he can at least partly fill CR7′s boots. Neville will have his last season at Old Trafford this year too. Sad, being as he has been a brilliant servant, but he just hasn’t gotten over his injuries in the past 3-4 years.
You guys are right about Liverpool should be unable to prosper by a replay because of their own fan’s misconduct. Sunderland would’ve won anyways. Credits to Rafa and Carra for noting that Liverpool were poor and not bitching about the beach ball (Fergie, take note!). Snipers to solve the problem, Chris?!?!? That’s about as genius as electric crowd pens!
Burnley definitely needs to change their away form. Their home form will dip, and that means it can’t keep them up over the course of the season.
Wolves are struggling, but I don’t think anything is happening against Villa. Time for a Mick McCarthy expletive session!
Like you Mark, I am hoping that Liverpool doesn’t get a fire lit under their asses for the United game this weekend.
Thanks a lot guys. For an English speaking guy, living in Bratislava, and listening to Czech commentaries on EPL matches all week, your podcasts are awesone . . just get rid of the echoes. Keep it going guys . . .
