It’s one drama after another at this World Cup as the quarter-finals throw up controversy, an astonishing performance from Germany, the near-demolition of South American hopes and the most dramatic ending to a football match possibly ever.

Chris and Mark, thanks again for another WC podcast.
I’m already going through post-party-depression, and the semi’s haven’t even started.
Mainly though, I’m bummed that there are no Asian, African or North American teams left.
This World Cup was not what many people envisioned – the coming out of African teams. There was no dominance – and Nigeria (apparently) aren’t allowed to play for the next two years. That seems a bit counter productive, doesn’t it? My boss at work would never say to me – “Your drafting/designing was awful this last project – to get better, I think you should not draft/design for a couple of years….just sit in the corner and file some papers” I predict small things for Nigeria in the future. Egypt must be fuming the fact that they didn’t qualify – I bet they would have put up a better fight that the Ivory Coast and Cameroon.
Yes – the curse of Nike’s “Write Your Future”. How long will we have to wait before some bored and disgruntled editors complete the “Write Your Future” campaign with a you tube video of the stars writing their future into obscurity?
So the only reason I’m rooting against Uruguay is due to what Forlan did to my Fulham in the Europe League final. Go Holland!
After its all said and done, I hope you both enjoy your time off before another wonderful season with the Premier League. And I can’t sign of without shedding a few tears:
Roy is gone.
Bradley
Go Netherlands!
